Make a Veracruz Apron in Minutes
Hello Friends!
After experimenting with different fabrics and materials for many years, I have discovered the easiest and fastest way to make the prettiest Veracruz apron you've ever seen for under $20!
What you will need:
- inexpensive black fabric
- black lace
- thick black ribbon for the waistband
- iron-on flowers
- iron
- sewing machine or needle and thread
- newspaper
- scissors
Step #1
Take the newspaper and cut out a pattern for your apron so that you don't cut your fabric incorrectly. Once you desire the shape you want, take the pattern and cut the black fabric into that shape.
Step #2
Sew the black lace around the edge of the apron. If you are not comfortable using a sewing machine, sew it by hand with a needle and black thread.
Step #3
Take your iron-on flowers and arrange them in the manner your prefer, whether it is to one side or in the center. Make sure that you really like the way the arrangement looks before you iron the flowers on.
Step #4
Iron the flowers on!
Step #5
Take the ribbon and sew it on as a waistband. Make sure that you can tie a nice bow in the back and that the ends of the waistband are folded and sewn neatly so that the waistband doesn't fall apart.
Guess what?
