11 Things Folklorico Dancers Do Without Thinking
Folklorico dancers are creatures of habit! Most of us rehearse and perform almost on a daily basis, and that's probably why we end up doing a few things that are pretty unique, to say the least. Below are 11 things that we do almost every day of our lives without thinking.
#1 Walk to the beat.
#2 Practice our zapateado every chance we get and everywhere we go.
#3 Choreograph folklorico dances in our head.
#4 Smile automatically, even when we're not performing.
#5 Practice "Air Faldeo" with our invisible faldas.
#6 Hoard anything that can be re-purposed as a folklorico costume or garment.
#7 Analyze every folklorico dance we see on stage or in videos.
#8 Talk with our hands.
#9 Start dancing every time we hear mariachi music.
#10 Strike a pose.
#11 Choose Folklorico over everything.
